Getting slightly better at painting the wood. More subtle effect works better.
Four platoons on 20mm Finns converted from Revell, Airfix and Matchbox Germans and Russians. In the front there is the company commander flanked by ammo supply and dressing station. Notice how the platoons can be distinguished from the terrain features or from the color band on the back which also contains numerical designation for each unit.
A 20mm C-P Models nurse beside a scratchbuilt half-platoon tent made out of modelling clay. The tent is way too small but I couldn’t fit a bigger one on the Murtokohta-base for joukkosidontapaikka…
A couple of 1/72 Universal Carriers (Airfix?) that I bought used and did a quick repaint job.
20mm Finnish machine gun platoon on the move. The figures are Revell Panzergrenadiers. There’s also with the beam carrying Revell German Engineers converted to carrying M/32-33 machine gun bodies which were converted from plasticard and sprue.
20mm 25pdr battery from Airfix. One beautifully ugly tractor is absent since one kit was missing quite a few parts -I should probably contact Airfix about it… Click here to see more Airfix kits on Amazon
A squad of 1/72 Finns. Converted plastic Russians as well as one German panzergrenadier that has had his MG34 converted to Lahti-Saloranta LMG. All figures from Revell.
Some classic Airfix 1/72 8th Army figures, one of their best sets even if some poses were a bit odd. Still set very strong vibes from childhood.
