Historical Miniature Wargames
Our roving reporter Aksu popped over to Colours at Newbury Racecourse to pick up some Pendraken goodies. On several occasions fellow gamers were overheard to say “Wargames conventions used to smell like BO. Now they smell like laser cut MDF. ” Indeed, amazing variety and great quality ready cut houses and other terrain are now available. We are being spoiled.

Petri, Chris and Aksu had a game of Blücher with 15 mm Spanish and French armies. The game was a refight of Bailen using the scenario from Honour downloads. We fought the First battle in our second Longstreet campaign. True to form Aksu lost even though we had switched sides and he had Confederates this time. Janne’s Union forces fired straight and true and the Rebs left the field in tatters.
We finally had a chance to try out Too Fat Lardies’ excellent Chain of Command rules. PetriH brought out his massive collection of finely crafted Eastern Front 20 mm figures. Much fun was had.
