A. Vuorenvirta - Teutonic OrderJoint Winner of Best Camp. This was the first appearance of the Teutons. The magnificent spectacle of their white uniforms and the ghastly vignette of baptism with the blade in their camp were not enough to guarantee a victory among the battle-hardened Mättö veterans. "The Teutonic Order was, or still is my only army, so I didn't have any problem to choose which army I would use. But why choose a religious catholic army in the first place? Well basically I just liked their ideological background, I had red a Kaari Utrio's novel Isabella (I know It's not completely historical book but anyway) and it painted an interesting picture of these brutal and cruel warrior monks. So I just wanted to be as ruthless as they were and try to win at all cost. Because I haven't played that much DBM yet, I found it very difficult to make a balanced army list. I had way too many superior knights and only a few other unit types, so my Teutonic Orders demoration level was very low. But next time my Teutonics will be much larger bit to bite." The camp: "I had five tents and that funny guillotine in my camp. Well I know the guillotine wasn't that common in 14th century although the first similar device known as the Hallifax Gibbet had been in use in that Yorkshire town since 1286 and continued until 1650. But anyway, I made it by using matches and Essex praying monk figures. To make the tents I used also matches (in the round ones I used iron wire) to built a frame which I covered with a piece of cloth. Then I just drybrushed it and decorated it with some details."
